AmeriCorps Positions Available!

We are actively recruiting for new partner organizations to host a locally recruited RAY AmeriCorps member. Partner organizations can be rural schools, tribal governments, rural city governments, or youth-serving non-profits that are interested in providing youth programs in their community. At no cost to the partner organization we provide a RAY AmeriCorps position which will coordinate youth activities in the community. The partner organization is responsible for recruiting in the community to fill the full-time position, provide a space to host youth activities, and support the position through regular check-ins, and provide office space/internet. Engage Youth

Wrap-around Support

Facilitate youth learning, growth and resilience through robust youth programming utilizing the Project Venture model

In School

Engage youth in positive activities in the classroom environment in order to build skills and recruit them in to After-School Programming

After-School

Support youth outside of the school environment by providing a safe, challenging, and enriching environment for youth to thrive

Out-Of-School

With training and support, host multi-day overnight trips with youth and community volunteers (culture camps, fish camp. etc.)

Host an AmeriCorps Member

If your organization is a Tribal Government, School, City Government or Non-Profit located in rural Alaska you are eligible to host our program! RurAL CAP will work with your organization to identify a local candidate. RurAL CAP asks that partner organizations provide office space and youth meeting space locally, while RurAL CAP bears all employment and training related expenses for your local AmeriCorps member.
